CViewer Introduction CViewer is a Chinese text viewer for Pocket PC. Pocket PC sold in non Chinese regions are not equipped with software capable of reading (non-unicode encoded) Chinese. This viewer allows users to read Chinese text files encoded in Big5 (the predominant tranditional Chinese encoding scheme), GB-2312 (the predominant simplified Chinese encoding scheme) and Unicode format. Fonts You still need to install Chinese fonts in your system. You may already have Chinese fonts installed in your PC. Look for mingliu.ttf (tranditional Chinese) or mssong.ttf (simplified Chinese) in your c:\windows\fonts directory. (Hint: newer versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer automatically installs the neccessary language/font system when you view a Chinese enabled page). Other fonts are also available for download from the web. Just do a search at your favrite search engine site.
